Take control of your finances! YourLife Finance Classes are designed to provide the foundation for a strong and stable future. Any adult interested in taking the course is welcome to sign up.
All classes are held on Mondays at 6:00pm.
Classes offered include:
Class #1: Budgeting: Improving Your Current Financial Position will cover tools such as a monthly budget, savings plans, and weekly spending diaries.
Class #2: Savings: Keeping More of What is Yours will provide tools and resources for savings, such as Bank on Houston, bank comparison charts, and bill calendaring.
Class #3: Mastering Your Credit Report will teach how to access your annual credit report, your rights under the FCRA, and how to write dispute letters.
Class #4: Credit Scores and Credit Cards: Making Credit Work for You will share tips on building credit and managing debt.
Class #5: Taking Control of Your Debt will cover tools such as debt action plans, debt reductions, and sample letters to debt collectors.
Class #6: Renting, Buying and Goal Setting will help you know what you can afford, assess details before making a large purchase, and establish your financial goals.
Class #7: Preparing for Disasters
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
