At Alexander JFS, we are committed to ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, can access information about our programs and services through our website. As part of our ongoing efforts to eliminate barriers to access, our website is designed to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines provide a framework to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities.

We strive to meet or exceed all applicable WCAG success criteria and adhere to federal accessibility standards, including Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.

Optimizing Your Experience

For the best user experience, we recommend using the latest versions of your preferred web browser and assistive technologies. The following combinations are especially effective when accessing our website:

  • Google Chrome + JAWS
  • Internet Explorer + JAWS
  • Mozilla Firefox + NVDA
  • Android devices: TalkBack with Chrome

iOS and macOS devices: VoiceOver with Safari

Additionally, most web browsers allow users to increase text size and customize display settings to suit their needs.

Feedback and Continuous Improvement

We are dedicated to continually improving our website’s accessibility. If you encounter any content that is difficult to access or have suggestions for enhancing accessibility, we welcome your feedback. Please contact us at disabilityservices@alexanderjfs.org or (713) 986-7851 so we can address your concerns and continue making our digital presence inclusive for all.
