Community Outreach Project: The Woodlands

Providing Services to the Jewish Community in The Woodlands and North Houston

In partnership with Congregation Beth Shalom of The Woodlands, Alexander Jewish Family Service (JFS) is expanding access to compassionate, accessible mental health care by meeting congregants where they are, within their spiritual home.

An Alexander JFS clinician will offer weekly on-site office hours at Congregation Beth Shalom, providing mental health support and consultation. In close collaboration with clergy, the clinician will coordinate support groups and offer follow-up care as an extension of pastoral support. When additional services are needed, congregants may be referred to JFS or other trusted community resources.

We are supported by a Local Impact Fund grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. To learn more about how you or a loved one may benefit from this Community Outreach Project, please contact Chief Clinical Officer, Dr. Ada Cheung at acheung@alexanderjfs.org or 713.986.7832.
