Jamie Paul Weiner, LCSW, Director of Operations and Disability Services at Alexander Jewish Family Service (Alexander JFS), has been selected as a 2026 honoree in the Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards.
The Houston Business Journal’s Women Who Mean Business Awards recognize outstanding women professionals across Greater Houston. Honorees are selected through an independent editorial review based on their merits, achievements, and contributions to their organizations and the local community. Jamie is being recognized in the nonprofit category, joining outstanding women leaders whose achievements and contributions have strengthened their organizations and the Greater Houston community. For Jamie, the honor reflects a distinctive combination of operational leadership, innovative program development, and a deep commitment to expanding opportunities for individuals with disabilities.
Jamie has been with Alexander JFS for 14 years. As Director of Operations, she helps guide agency-wide priorities while continuing to provide leadership and oversight within Disability Services. She manages security, technology, and facility operations for the agency. Her ability to oversee complex organizational management while continuing to develop person-centered programming is representative of her vision, skills, and energy.
Under Jamie’s leadership, Disability Services has continued to grow through programs, partnerships, and community education. She was instrumental in Celebration Company, Alexander JFS's entrepreneurial employment program for adults with disabilities, becoming a premiere service program in Houston. She also led the expansion of the program to a 2nd location in West Houston. She helped create the Celebration Company Store and its e-commerce website, expanding meaningful vocational opportunities and providing a platform for products and artwork created by or benefiting individuals with disabilities. She also plays a key role in bringing and growing the ReelAbilities Houston Film & Arts Festival, which advances authentic disability representation, accessibility, inclusion, and community dialogue.
In honor of this recognition, Jamie has requested that donations be designated to the Employee Professional Development Fund. She is deeply grateful to the mentors, colleagues, and organizations that invested in his own professional growth throughout his career and believes this honor provides an opportunity to invest in others.
