Become a Program Assistant in Training

We're launching the PIT Crew (Program Assistant in Training), a select group of individuals who will work directly with our Celebration Company Employees. Celebration Company empowers adults with disabilities to create high-quality products and art that celebrate the joy of life.

PIT Crew Members enjoy a structured schedule, professional development, and hands-on experience in a vibrant, supportive environment. Join us and be part of something truly meaningful, where you can grow while helping others thrive!

Steps for becoming a member of the PIT Crew:

Complete a PIT Crew Interest Form
Interview with PIT Crew Leads
Complete a Disability Intake Form (if you are a new client to JFS)
Complete the Service Agreement and Onboarding
Complete the Alexander JFS Volunteer Application‍

Who should join?

Applicants should have prior experience working with the disability population. Effective verbal and written communication skills are a crucial part of success. In addition, it’s important that PIT Crew members can work effectively with clients, staff, administration, volunteers and other organizations.

What are the responsibilities?

PIT Crew members become part of the Celebration Company team! Duties include working directly with Celebration Company participants, assisting Company Staff, food preparation, quality control of products and serving in our Retail Store and Gallery.

Are there any professional/skill development opportunities?

PIT Crew members receive a variety of ongoing mentorship and support including customer service, workplace safety procedures, time management, workplace relationships, and public speaking.

How many days/hours are required?

Program hours are 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM; PIT Crew members work an average of four hours per day and up to three days per week. Additional hours are reserved for breaks, training and support.
What are the financial requirements?

The program is billed monthly based on the scheduled participation days each week:
• 3 days/week-$500 per month
• 2 days/week- $367 per month
• 1 day/week-$183 per month

PIT Crew members are paid $8.50/hour.

Locations

Celebration Company is a supportive and transitional employment program that maintains best practices in building skills according to goals personalized for each trainee. We currently operate in two locations.
