April is National Volunteer Month!  

National Volunteer Month is an annual celebration dedicated to honoring volunteers around the world — recognizing and becoming people who selflessly devote theirtime, skills, and energy to support various causes.

We are so thankful to have more than 500 Alexander JFS volunteers doing so many different things for our agency.  We have individual teen, adult, and corporate group volunteers. What do volunteers doat JFS?

·       Help as assistants and coaches at Celebration Company Centraland Celebration Company West

·       Knit or crochet Healing Blankets for our Behavioral andMental Health Services Department and Chaplaincy Department

·       Act as Friendly Visitors for our senior clients,

·       Create beautiful greeting cards for people who are isolated,

·       Deliver meals for our Case Management department,

·       Do pro-bono work for clients,

·       Provide shabbat boxes and holiday treats with our Chaplaincydepartment,

·       Volunteer at our annual ReelAbilities Arts and Film Festival,

·       Coach clients for our Career and Employment Center,

·       Create Disaster Assistance bags and necessity kits forAlexander JFS clients,

·       Spend time on committees to plan and execute our mission….andso much more!

Our volunteers partner with Alexander JFS staff and make us the wonderful humanservice agency that we are. We could not do it without you!
