Alexander Jewish Family Service is proud to offer a scholarship to attend all Season 4 trainings of the Alexander JFS A Time for Play: Play Therapy Training Series. This scholarship grants the recipient free entry into all 21 trainings and allows the recipient to complete homework assignments to earn a full 153 hours of Play Therapy specific education.

Alexander JFS recognizes that historic inequities and systemic bias have limited the opportunities for BIPOC persons to attain the Registered Play Therapist credential. The primary aim of this scholarship is to diversify the Play Therapy profession and expand the benefits of Play Therapy to BIPOC clients and families.

Recipient must:

  • Be a licensed mental health professional in good standing
  • Agree to attend all Play Therapy trainings in-person
  • Agree to complete all homework assignments
  • Submit a copy of their resume for review
  • Submit a one-page letter of interest specifying how the applicant will use Play Therapy specifically to treat BIPOC populations

All scholarship materials must be submitted via email to PlayTherapyTraining@alexanderjfs.org by May 31, 2022.
