Alexander Jewish Family Service, envisions a community in which Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training is as common as CPR. Just as CPR training helps a person with no clinical training assist an individual in medical distress, MHFA training provides tools to assist someone experiencing mental distress. The goal is to support an individual until appropriate professional help.

Learning to recognize the signs can truly save a life. 💙

Hear from our Behavioral and Mental Health team, this Mental Health Awareness Month as they highlight the benefits of MHFA. Learn more about Adult & Youth MHFA trainings here.

Our Touching the Heart program can also be a helpful tool. This uplifting text-messaging service sends regular messages of support to teens, young adults, parents, and educators to help manage stress, reduce isolation, and build meaningful connection. Whether you're looking for encouragement or hoping to share it, we invite you to sign up today! Learn more about Touching the Heart and explore additional mental health services at Alexander JFS.

For any mental health emergencies, 24/7 help is just a text or phone call away. Call or text 988 for support.
